Around the Amiata there are many natural hot springs which can be visited. Superb private SPAs, available for a pamper day, are in the old village of Bagno Vignoni, in the Val d'Orcia.
Castagnatello is perfectly located to explore the many historic hamlet towns scattered in Southern Tuscany, particularly around the Amiata Mountain: North of the Amiata, in the Val d’Orcia, are the beautiful towns of Montalcino, Sant’Angelo in Colle, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d’Orcia, Monticchiello and wonderful Siena. Just at the bottom and around the Amiata Mountain you can find Seggiano, Castel del Piano, Arcidosso and Santa Fiora; more to the South, an area with a strong Etruscan heritage, are charming Pitigliano, Sorano and Sovana.
ADVENTURE PARK
An Adventure Park with rope climbing, obstacle courses and zip lines is on the Amiata Mountain (at Prato Macinaie). Different tracks available for kids and for adults. Great fun for all the family!
HIKING
There are beautiful hiking trails with both wonderful scenery and historic heritage.

The seaside is just an hour and a quarter away, ideal for a day at the beach: there are beautiful beaches and fishing towns like Castiglione della Pescaia, Alberese beach, Cala Violina bay, the Argentario Peninsula.....
